Dr.P. Chokkalingam after acquiring his primary medical qualification, worked as a residential medical officer under eminent surgeon Dr.P.G. Visvanathan MS FRACS FICS at Vikram ENT Hospital & Research Institute, Coimbatore. He then got training by renowned surgeon Prof.Dr.V. Anand MD DLO MS at MCV Memorial ENT Trust Hospital, Pollachi. During this period, he gained vast experience and inspired by their excellent work, he developed interest in the field of Otorhinolaryngology. He then embarked to United Kingdom in the year 1996 to pursue further training in Oto-rhino-laryngology

He underwent training in various prestigious UK NHS hospitals under well-known ENT surgeons. He spent twenty years in United Kingdom and enhanced his skills by attending many advanced ENT surgical training courses at UK, France, Germany and other European countries (Click here). He worked as an ENT specialist at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust until October 2016. He returned back to India and joined as an ENT consultant and director at Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital from November 2016. He has an extensive experience of over 27 years to his credit.
