Intensive care management of poisoning and envenomation patients Is quite commonly undertaken by many centres. However there still exists a great amount of uncertainty and paucity of complete information regarding the toxin and it’s management strategy. There is lack of regional 24X7 availability of reputed qualified information centre to cater to the timely needs of these patients.

With an ambition to mitigate the lacunae, We have opened “POISON CENTRE” at our Institute. Although there is a reduction in the number of polytrauma incidents due to law enforcements and individual awareness over the last couple of years, still a significant proportion of polytrauma patients need appropriate early intensive care management and well - coordinated multi-diciplinary involvement to reduce mortality and morbidity. With a vision to enhance the quality of care surrounding trauma victims.
